Fugro-TSM Tree Planting Day

As part of the Fugro-TSM initiative to go green and do our part in achieving a carbon neutral future, on Friday 5^th August 2011, a dedicated group of employees, ably assisted by the Men of the Trees organisation, made their way out to Moorbinning near Beverly, Western Australia, to revegetate a barren area of land on a farm run by Brendon McLean.

While it certainly was a great day out of the office in the fresh air and the beautiful country side, complete with morning/afternoon tea and lunch, most importantly it helped our rural and regional community to offset carbon emissions in a very obvious and practical way.

The small team from Fugro-TSM (Fallon Grant, Hannah Campbell, Jade McCarthy, Kym Wong and Janette Thornton) did an amazing job in planting 4800 seedlings and completing almost the entire revegetation area in a single exhausting, but very satisfying day.

Fugro-TSM will be back in the field again next year, looking to beat the record set by the team in 2011 and doing our part in the fight against global warming.
